Today i tried my first kong over my couch.
at first i kinda side hopped over it then said F#ck it im gonna do it lol.
i got over but my technique isnt even close to par, its hard to continue that momentum through planting my hands.
and my extension is weaakkkkkk.

oh and idk if im doin my rolls right, is your shoulder supposed to hurt like a mofo?

I would say no, your shoulder shouldn't hurt much at all from rolling. While it is certainly possible that because you are doing some new movement your body isn't used to (along with impact in an area that isn't used to that) you might have some minor (goes away after you roll) pain. But it shouldn't hurt too much. Practice on something softer like a gym mat or something. There are lots of rolling videos to help you also, if you can't find someone to help you in real life, but you should really try to find someone who can show you correct technique so you don't get a really bad injury.

August 19th 2009.

Its been a while, i am in alot better shape. thank the lord for body weight workouts :D

My vaults have also been upgraded. Yesterday i tried something new in my little house training. Kong to precision. There is about a 8 foot area to run up, then kong my couch (which is about 4 feet high) then land precision on the linoleum (which is roughly 7 feet from the back of the couch). It took a few times but i got it. and holy hell are my thighs sore lol.

I also recently hiked up Spencers Butte here in Eugene. the hike is nice, but at the actual butte there are alot of rock formations that , in my opinion, are ideal for some nature training. Maybe a nature jam is in order...

Well after a long hiatus due to money issues, work, and personal sheet, i am back to training. started some conditioning and my upper body isnt bad but holy hell do my thighs hurt.
I have a bit more motivation as well even with the rain and cold; it seems the Eugene scene is getting some coverage! gooood to see. and two, my roommate said he wants to start training with me. pretty exciting.

now i just need to trade in my shoes finally for a size bigger and more conditioning. then ill be set.

Well not so much a Parkour update, but unfortunately related.

Day is March 19th 2010 and i am enjoying the weather, when it appears to me that if i dont move out of the way my ankle could possibly be destroyed by my joking friend rolling at me on a longboard. Well my side step is thrown off and i land with my food directly below my arse. SNAP.

Spiral fracture that compressed into each other. Surgery ending in a plate and 7 pins.

Been hopping on one foot for a month and still got 3 weeks to go before i can walk on it... :/

On the upside however, my upper body strength has definitely improved, and my right leg is ripped!, not so much the left one..... oh the road to recovery.
